Healing The Mother Wound

w/ Tiffani Calcote

Do unresolved feelings, needs, or hurts connected to the relationship with your mother still linger, leaving you wondering how to finally make sense of them?

This workshop on “Healing the Mother Wound” is designed for women who have had complicated relationships with their mothers—whether those relationships felt close, distant, inconsistent, or absent—and focuses on understanding those experiences while exploring ways to heal and move forward. It offers an opportunity to name what has often gone unspoken and to make sense of feelings that may have lingered for years.

Rather than trying to change the past, the focus centers on understanding the mother wound itself—what it is, how it took shape, and how unmet needs or hurts may still be present today. Time is spent making sense of these experiences and their impact, while opening up ways to heal and move forward. This remains meaningful whether our mother is present, emotionally distant, estranged, or no longer alive, because healing does not depend on her involvement.

The experience weaves together discussion, reflection, and a variety of simple practices that support understanding and the healing process. These practices offer support when feelings connected to our mother surface and provide tools we can continue using beyond the session. There is room to gently explore how to offer ourselves the care and reassurance that may have been inconsistent earlier in life.

An invitation is extended to reflect on how our relationship with our mother shaped our views of love, worth, responsibility, and belonging. These ideas are approached with curiosity and balance, allowing new perspectives to form over time. Forgiveness is introduced not as an expectation, but as a possible shift in understanding—recognizing our mothers as human beings with their own limits, struggles, and histories, without minimizing the impact of what was painful or missing.

My name is Tiffani Calcote, 100 Healthy Women Genesis member, and I’ll be leading this workshop. Because this topic is deeply personal to me, I approach it with care, honesty, and understanding. Alongside my clinical experience as a therapist, I bring insights from my own healing journey, and my intention is to offer guidance, language, and support that can help you better understand your experience and begin moving toward healing.

This offering is not meant to provide quick answers or a guarantee of closure. Instead, it serves as a starting point—a gentle beginning to a healing journey. My hope is that it supports you in moving forward with greater clarity, self-trust, and compassion for yourself. Click Here to Register
